West Salem / Onalaska / La Crosse, WI. June 16th -20th

Home Remodeling!! I mentioned our visit to Camping World in my last post. We went in to pick up a few things we needed for Betty. That's how the home remodel started. Neither of us was thrilled with our recliners (for multiple reasons) and, of course, Camping World had a new couch with recliners and a fold down center console that we really liked. It was on sale so....Done! We stopped on our way out of town and had it installed. Melissa even sold our original recliners on Facebook Marketplace and the guy met us at Camping World to pick them up. Perfect! I'll let you know in a month or so if we like our new living room as much as I think we will.

We had great weather while in West Salem. Loved our lakeview site at Neshonoc Lakeside Campground. Close to heated pool and hot tub that we definitely used. We enjoyed our day trips to Onalaska and La Crosse. I don't claim to be a cheese curds expert but Red Pines Bar & Grill has a great atmosphere and easily the best fried cheese ever! Melissa agreed. Right on the lake and plenty of grass for the girls.

We had a perfect day on Castle Rock Lake with our friends, Don & Deena. So nice to be on the water in a nice boat with sun, cocktails and friends! Docked for lunch and more cocktails (Mai Tais) and tequila shots. Just kept getting better. :) And then Don insisted on picking up the tab. Bonus! Thanks again friends! Dinner is on us when we see you in Florida in November.

Looking forward to our stay in Madison where we definitely won't need a jacket. Weekend temps in the 90s. Updates to follow.
