I started writing this yesterday, which was our anniversary, but we had too much going on for me to finish it so....First things first, I'd like to say "Happy Anniversary" to the love of my life, Melissa!! You make me smile everyday and I love the life we're sharing. Better Together for sure! Soooo many more memories to be made! ❤️
Melissa and I got massages midday yesterday and then, in the evening, we started with a drink at Rudee's before having a wonderful dinner at Rockafeller's. Two years ago yesterday we were lucky enough to have a huge storm in California hold off for one day so we could have a beautiful wedding day. Thank goodness, since we had an outdoor ceremony and no plan B. It POURED all day the next day. All good. Just part of our journey.

"Virginia is for Lovers". That's the official slogan of the state so it seemed like an appropriate place to spend our anniversary. Just a short visit but we did decide to stay an extra night. More on that in a minute. Holiday Trav-L RV Park has an odd name but it's a great park. Friendly staff. Four pools. Small cafe on site. Country Store. Lots of grass and a shaded dog park. Level sites and full hook ups. Easy bike ride to Virginia Beach pier and beaches. We didn't have time to see a lot of Virginia Beach but here's my two cents. We weren't impressed by the boardwalk at the pier. Didn't hate it but didn't need to go back either. We loved the residential area along the beach. Nice homes, great surf spots, and dogs were allowed on the beach after 6:00pm. We also enjoyed the marina area where we had dinner.
Unfortunately, an unexpected visitor forced us to change our itinerary for the next several days. We were supposed to be in the Outer Banks, NC starting yesterday but they're under mandatory evacuation due to Hurricane Erin. Not the kind of visitor we wanted. ☹️ The hurricane won't actually make landfall so no real danger for us. It's just gonna make a mess of the Outer Banks so we'll improvise. We got a lot of rain on Monday night and into Tuesday so we decided to just stay an extra night in Virginia Beach. Today we headed inland to Four Oaks, NC. (about 40 miles south of Raleigh). Melissa found what looks like a great resort so we'll spend four nights here before continuing south to Charleston. All good. Just part of the journey. 😎

Love the blog. Keep up the fun
And yes, Kevin, you are extremely thoughtful for sparing your wife the “wet seat”. Ive always thought it better to find the seat up than down and try share this as often as possible except at home. In our bedroom. There even I put the seat down when finished. Mostly
