Public Service Announcement: It was brought to my attention that I had an issue on the website. When you clicked on a post, you couldn't navigate directly to the "Pictures" section. Frustrating! Rookie mistake as I continue to learn how to do website development. The issue is resolved now, so you should be able to navigate to all sections of the website directly from any post. Remember, if you view the website on your phone, click the three bars in the upper right corner to navigate to any sections.
Now back to your regularly scheduled programming...
Miami Beach was exactly what we expected. Art deco architecture. Glamour. Glitz. Neon lights. Flashy cars. Beaches. More restaurants than you could ever need. All with a Cuban influence.
Surfcomber is a boutique hotel on the beach within a short walk of all the action. While hotel is showing a little wear, it's well maintained and the staff was phenomenal. They knew we were celebrating Melissa's birthday so they gave us a bottle of champagne at check-in and some free drinks at the on-site bar. 🍾🍹 I had roses and balloons delivered to the room before we arrived to make Melissa's stay even nicer. Score! 😍 Nice pool area with food and drink service. We enjoyed the pool on our first day but the non-stop jackhammering next store put a damper the following day.

Dinner at STK Steakhouse did NOT meet expectations. Service was downright terrible so, while I highly recommend STK in Las Vegas, I don't recommend the Miami Beach location. However, our nightcap at The Setai was terrific. Beautiful upscale restaurant and bar. I wish we had chosen there for dinner that night.

Dinner at MILA exceeded expectations. The restaurant is fantastic, albeit expensive. It's Mediterranean and Japanese cuisine and we enjoyed everything we had. Great atmosphere and service was what you'd expect from a high-end restaurant. It's definitely a "see and be seen" experience so make reservations as far in advance as possible.
Ocean Drive is probably the most famous street in Miami Beach and was just a 10 minute walk from our hotel. It's less than 1.5 miles long but it runs along the beach and is lined with iconic hotels, restaurants, night clubs, etc. We had a nightcap at the Versace Mansion after our dinner at MILA.

We love our girls but it's also nice to have time for just the two of us. Our Miami Beach stay was sooooo fun! It helped that they girls were having a great time with Juan and Esmerelda, a wonderful couple from Rover with a backyard full of lizards for Stella to chase and plenty of shade for Rita to watch Stella's shenanigans.
Now we're all back together and in Key West, Florida. We'll be here for 11 days. Here's a picture of our view from bed this morning.

Something tells me we're gonna like it here!
Enjoy your weekend!!
