Here's part two of La Quinta.

Let's just start with three days at Stagecoach. Anyone remember the Men's Warehouse commercial that said "What a difference a day makes"? That applies to Stagecoach this year.

We've been to Stagecoach several times but we've always stayed at a hotel and then shuttled to the venue, so this was our first year doing Uber. All good since we got picked up right at our RV site. Then we got dropped off at the venue and realized we had to walk a LOOOOOONG way with lots of other people through dirt to get to the entrance. Guess what? We had to do the same thing after the show. BUT, the show was great that night with my favorite performances being Ella Langley, Counting Crows and Cody Johnson.

Saturday night started well even though the wind was blowing pretty good. We rode our bikes to the venue and that worked out much better. I loved Treaty Oak Revival and then we grabbed dinner before heading over to see Riley Green. Well...that's when the shit show started! The wind was howling. Dirt EVERYWHERE. People chasing cowboy hats all over the place. And then...the loud speakers come on telling everyone to "leave the venue IMMEDIATELY. Go to the nearest emergency exit" (which some weren't even open). No explanation but we all assumed it was from the wind. Fortunately, we didn't see mass histeria, but it was still PACKED with 80,000 people exiting the venue. We finally get to our bikes and start heading home when we get a notice saying to "shelter in place" as the venue is going to open back up and the show will go on. Seriously? WTF? You just evacuated 80,000 people and now you're gonna try to bring them all back in? We (and many others) said no thanks to that, and rode home. Complete debacle. Bad look for Stagecoach. They canceled Riley Green and Journey. Then just had Lainey Wilson close out the night.

Sunday was completely different. We started our day with a short bike ride to Shields Date Farm for breakfast. The weather was much nicer with the wind still blowing, but nothing crazy. Some pool time and then an easy ride to Stagecoach. Third Eye Blind did a great set as did Brooks & Dunn (Melissa's favorite!). Post Malone closed the night and we had an easy ride home. All in all, another fun time at Stagecoach.

Big shout out to the Stagecoach Tribe, a group of friends that we spent time with throughout the weekend. Good times!

Monday and Tuesday were recuperation days, although we did go into downtown Palm Springs for lunch and a walk after picking up the dogs. Side note: We continue to have great success using Rover (www.rover.com) for the girls. Obviously you have to do your research and chose what is best for you, but our girls have had some great care.

Tomorrow (Wednesday), we'll be sad as we leave Motorcoach Country Club. Home for the last 16 days. Our second site was nice and we spent lots of time in the pool and hot tub. We'll definitely be back to Motorcoach Country Club in the future, but we're also excited to be headed home. We'll spend a few nights at Newport Dunes RV Resort before getting back into our home on May 1st. Well...that's not exactly how it's gonna work. 🤔😛 Just a little teaser with more updates in my next post.

Until then, make it a great week and try to live some part of everyday like you're on vacation!
