Good times in Savannah! Creekfire RV Resort had a LOT of what we love. Very clean. Large sites. Great staff, Large pool. TWO hot tubs. Restaurant on the lake. Gym. Arcade. Pool bar. And our favorite amenity, a legitimate lazy river! Just grab a tube (which they provide) and your cocktail and hop in. We spent as much time as we could in the lazy river and hot tub.

Savannah has some characteristics similar to Charleston. Tons of history. Lots of oak trees with Spanish moss and Victorian style houses, which makes for a charming neighborhoods. One of the features that Melissa liked best is the Squares of Savannah. These 22 squares (think parks with monuments) are located throughout the historical district of Savannah and are great places to gather with friends or enjoy some reflective time for yourself.
As Stella and Rita mentioned in their last post, they both had vet visits while we were in Savannah. Stella had a cyst removed from her mouth. Surgery went great and biopsy came back negative, so she's all good to go. Rita was just going to have a teeth cleaning and remove a few teeth if needed. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. They did a blood test just to make sure everything was kosher before using anesthesia especially because of her age. Well, her liver markers were off the chart so no work on her until we can get more results. We put her on a medication that could bring the markers down. We'll get her checked out in a month to see where we're at. If the markers don't come down, we'll have to do a MRI. We weren't expecting that and it obviously has us a bit worried. Stay tuned.
The day that the girls spent at the vet gave us a chance to do the On Off Bus as a way to see Savannah. The bus makes 16 stops throughout the city and the driver narrates the different points of interest and provides history. You can hop off at any stop and hop on at any stop throughout the day. Great way to see the city. We especially enjoyed the Prohibition Museum and drinks at Bardo Hotel. In Charleston, you can take drinks with you as long as they're "frozen" and in a sealed container. Savannah takes it a step further. You can take any drink with you as long as it's in a clear, 16 ounce or less cup. 😛🍹

We got Betty serviced in Charleston so Savannah was time for the dogs and us. Melissa got her hair and nails done as well as a massage. Just a simple haircut for me but I also did a very quick turn-around trip home. Flew home Friday afternoon so I could do my Fantasy Football draft on Saturday. Then flew back to Savannah on Sunday morning. I've been in my league for 18 years and haven't missed a draft. Always a great day with the guys!
Our last day in Savannah we did a golf cart tour of the Bonaventure Cemetery. It's big! As in 103 acres big! It was established in 1846 and has a fascinating history. Seriously, way to much for me to try to condense so google it if you're interested. We finished off our stay with dinner at The Olde Pink House. Pretty bougie and difficult to get in to. We tried to make reservations for any of the eight nights that we were in Savannah but no luck. We lucked out, with a canceled reservation on Monday night so we took advantage and enjoyed a really fun date night. We had the best table in the restaurant. A private table for two in the "vault". Think of a small wine cellar with only candles for lighting. Straight out of a setting on The Bachelor. It was bitchin!! Yes, I just showed my age.

Loved our stay in Savannah but we've got places to go and people to see. We're making a quick stop in Greenville, SC before heading to Asheville, NC and Bristol, TN. We've been looking forward to these stops for a long time so look for the updates next week.
Enjoy the upcoming weekend!
