Pay your bets! And a few updates.

Two posts in one day! What is going on? Don't worry - it's an anomaly, not a trend.
It's time to pay your bets! For those of you that bet someone that we wouldn't make it three months before we were done, pay up! We've been on the road over three months now and are still having a blast. Yes, we've had our moments but they're few and far between. They're minor, and we would have had them even if we weren't on the road. We've done a pretty good job of figuring out the full-time RV life. The other bed still hasn't been used so it can't be all that bad. 😎😁

If you read the "About" section of this website, you got an idea of what we chose for our journey. So here's a few updates:
RV Selection: We got this one right. We love everything about Betty!
Car Selection: We got this one right as well. Lou is light for sure. Almost too light. Front wheel drive with no weight in the back end can be an interesting drive in rain or mud. Good gas mileage but only a 13 gallon tank so we do have to fill up more often. But that fill up cost less than $40, compared to $250+ to fill up Betty. All-in-all, we love Lou.
Bike Selection: I'm totally happy with our Specialized bikes but I think Melissa would still like to have an e-bike sometimes. We'll probably ride them even more as we continue to have good weather so we'll see how she feels in a few months.
Internet Selection: I wish I could say great things about Starlink, but I can't. In theory, it's a great concept but in reality it's not so great. I would give it a rave review if all we did was camp in the middle of a parking lot with perfect weather BUT that's not reality. It's ridiculously unstable if there's a tree within a mile, or a cloud within a three state radius, or a slight fog, or any kind of rain. Yes, I'm exaggerating (slightly) but you get the point. It can turn what should be an hour task into three hours. Sometimes I feel like I'm paying a significant premium but getting 1990s internet. I wish I could figure out how to convey the dial up modem sound from back then but a few of you know what I'm talking about. Think of Ferris Buehler's Day Off..."Buehler, Buehler?". Now insert "Starlink, Starlink?". Yes, I'm literally cursing at it as I write this. 😖😂 I've had to refresh multiple times already. To be fair - I'm not sure of a better solution yet but stay tuned.
Cable Selection: YouTube TV has been great. No issues.
Radio Selection: SiriusXM is fantastic. ANY kind of music we want, ANY time we want it. ANY where we go. We haven't been anywhere on this adventure that we've had any connection issues.
Tow Package Selection: I still love the whole set up. No issues. Easy to hook up and unhook.
Grill Selection: Love our Coleman Portable RoadTrip 285 Grill. Works like a champ!
Couch Selection: We got that one right! Love the new couch with recliners.
If you're RVing with dogs and don't have a dog pen, you should get one. Wasn't expensive, but probably the best investment we made for the girls and us. They always have a safe place to hang out and we know they're not going anywhere. They can come in and out of the RV as they please. If they need to go potty in the middle of the night, open the door and let 'em out. They do their business and then back to bed. No harness. No leash. No walk around a dark resort or campground.
We also love our propane fire pit. Takes less than a minute to set up. Starts every time. Puts off great heat. No firepit smoke or smell. Enough said.
Any feedback is welcome. We love comments so feel free to leave more. We'd like that! Put 'em here or in the "Comments" section, but please add your name or nickname. Otherwise, it comes in as "Guest" and I have no idea who it's from.
Can't believe that we're already 25% into this adventure and I can't wait to keep discovering new places. But that's it for now. I gotta go before Starlink makes me reload this page AGAIN.
Make it a great week!

Kev, great recap almost makes me want to go by an RV, glad you guys are sharing your adventures with us.
