After cleaning most of the day on our first day here, we were ready to venture out. So, on our second day, we visited Niagara on the Lake, a quaint town on the Canadian side. Some of you may be sick of pictures of flowers but that's what Niagara on the Lake is all about so you got more flower pics. We had a nice Italian dinner there before heading to Niagara Falls. Got to see the Falls at night from the Canadian side. Beautiful!

They do fireworks every night during the summer. Stella and Rita don't normally mind fireworks but these were LARGE and LOUD. Heck...Rita can't even hear but she can feel. And she felt the vibrations! Those poor girls definitely didn't appreciate the show.

We rode our bikes to a local, small town parade on the 4th. Enjoyed a pool day and fireworks that night. We saw fireworks four nights in a row and I'm happy to report there was no residual mental impact on the girls after night one. We all enjoyed the remaining shows.

The next day we visited the Falls on the US side. Once again, pictures won't do it justice but we tried. Did all the tourist stuff and got WET. It was a pretty hot day so it actually felt good and it was impressive to see the Falls up close. 60,000 gallons per second! Learned a lot of history about the Falls and then decided, screw it, let's hop in a barrel and give it a try. However, apparently it's illegal and results in a $10,000 fine if you're still around to pay it. Damn! Maybe next time.

I knew we were gonna like HTR Niagara Campground. Nice lake. Good size pool area with a pool and a lazy river. Large sites with lake views. Just a short drive to Niagara Falls. Would have been perfect if it had a hot tub but that didn't stop us from chillin' poolside for a couple days. Lots of nice people in the campground for 4th of July weekend and we had great weather. So it felt like summer! We did have rain one night but it was part of an awesome thunder and lightning storm.

We had a first here. Fireflies. We don't have those in California so I thought it was pretty cool. In the "Pictures" tab, look closely at the video that literal looks like a black box and, hopefully, you can see the fireflies light up. Otherwise, I just posted a really dumb video. 🤣

We're out of here tomorrow. One night at a Harvest Host (South Shore Wines) before making our way to the Andirondack Mountains in Upstate New York. We missed those of you that we normally get to see to celebrate the 4th but we're thoroughly enjoying this beautiful country. Enjoy your week!
