Interesting drive to Grand Canyon. Interstate 95 S is in bad shape. After an hour on that road, we had to pull over and put some of our teeth back in place. Then we got more rain, so by the time we got to our RV park, poor Lou was a muddy mess! But we got sunshine the next day so Betty and Lou are all cleaned up. Grand Canyon Railway RV Park is a great location in Williams, AZ. What a cool town! Located on historic Route 66 and straight out of the 50s and 60s. Enjoyed several cool bars and restaurants. The RV park itself was super clean with plenty of space but NO grass for the dogs. Boarded the dogs for one day while we took the train into the Canyon and did some hiking. The "Pet Hotel" was definitely nothing more than a kennel so we felt a little bad for the girls. Grand Canyon is truly awe inspiring. Pictures simply can't do it justice. Went for a bike ride on Saturday morning and came across a baseball field with a pee-wee game going on. Couldn't help but think of the MANY Saturday mornings that I spent at the ball park with my boys. Loved every minute of it then and loving every minute of life now.
