Beautiful drive to Zion. Fought the wind most of the day but was amazed at the vast amount of open land we still have in America. Zion River Resort is beautiful. Lots of trees and grass. Dogs loved it! Outdoor pool and jacuzzi. We loved it! Did the Kanarra Falls hike on Tuesday and it was Melissa's favorite day. You have to buy a $15 day permit so a lot of people don't go. Perfect for us since we hiked 30+ minutes at a time without seeing anyone. Absolutely beautiful!
Our friends, Mario and Sandee, joined us for three days at the park with their RV. They hosted us for a great steak dinner on Wednesday night. We hosted them for dinner on Thursday night.
Did The Narrows hike on Thursday. Water was less than knee high in most places but got chest high in others. Rented water proof overalls and boots. Well worth the money.
Funny Story #2: When we first got to Zion River Resort, it was pretty warm at about 88 degrees so Melissa wanted to turn on the AC. Unfortunately, neither AC unit was working. After 45 minutes of finding the circuit breakers in the RV, doing every piece of troubleshooting that I could think of, and dropping several f-bombs, I finally decided that I needed a professional. Went to the resort office and got a recommendation. Called Brett Jessop at 6:00pm on Sunday (Mother's Day) and he picked up. What?!! I told him my issues and he said he could be out in a few days but just had a few questions. Did I check the circuit breakers in the coach? Yes, everyone of them is on. Did I check the circuit breakers at the park box that I was plugged into? Wait...what? That little box has circuit breakers? With Brett still on the phone, I go out and open the box. This is where the embarrassment sets in while I flip the breakers on and, POOF, problem solved. LMAO! Won't make that mistake again.
Loved our stay in Zion! Headed to Mario and Sandee's house in Park City for the next three days.

Love this, keep the stories coming! We loved Zion, just so beautiful, want to go back to do Angels Landing one day. Couldn’t leave Bo in the RV for that long when we were there. Happy travels guys!
