Well...we're just about a month into this adventure and still in love. At least she still says she loves me and no one has slept in the bunk bed yet. That's a good thing. Right? :)
Pretty chill and relaxing stay in Bozeman. Easily the best weather we've had yet. We even had two days with no rain and temps got into the mid 80s. First time that we've used the awning and EZ Up for shade.
Downtown Bozeman has become sort of chic so Melissa enjoyed the shopping and meals. One day, I rode my bike to downtown and met Melissa for lunch. About 16 miles roundtrip so it was a good workout with beautiful scenery.
Speaking of beautiful, the wildflowers are in full bloom around here. Lilac bushes EVERYWHERE so the smell is aromatic. Check out the pics in the "Picture" section. The Gallatin River flows behind the campground and we enjoy a cool walk with the dogs (off leash) along the bank. Lots of locals enjoying the sun with picnics, fishing, etc.
Met up with Stan, a friend of ours that lives in Bozeman, and we did the M Hike together. Highly recommend this hike. About three miles up to the "M" on the mountains above Montana State University. Rita and Stella LOVED it. Off leash for the entire few hours, lots of other dogs, friendly hikers, and lots of places to explore. We enjoyed a dinner downtown with Stan as well.
Bozeman Hot Springs RV Park also gets a recommendation. Nice park with pleasant staff and a huge dog park. You can use the hot springs as part of your campground reservation so we definitely took advantage of that. Many different pools with temperatures from 97 degrees to 104 degrees. Very relaxing. And a few plunge pools that were damn cold!!
Sunday night the resort has music night where you can relax in the hot springs pools and listen to live bands. No alcohol allowed in the pools but just about everyone (including us) had their "water" containers. :) The night we were there was rock night so we figured it might be a cover band. Nope! Local band that was hard to describe. Kind of like Natalie Merchant meets Metallica. We certainly enjoyed the uniqueness of the night and it was great people watching.
Time to roll on so we'll spend a night in Billings before we eventually get to Keystone. That's it for now.

Love your blog!!! When u head back west, maybe u can stay at our little cabin in west Ketchum, Idaho.
Oh man, you and Melissa are still in the honeymoon phase, huh? Nobody’s slept in the bunk bed yet, so I’d say you’re winning at this whole love-on-the-road thing! 😄
Melissa must’ve been in shopping heaven, and you biking 16 miles for lunch? That’s some Tour de Montana. Hope you treated yourself to an extra burger for that effort—
That’s the weirdest playlist I’ve ever heard, and I’m dying at the thought of everyone sneaking their “water” containers. 100% not water, right? 😉
Have a blast rolling on to Billings and Keystone. Keep us posted, and don’t let Melissa make you sleep in the bunk bed if you forget to take out the trash! 😅
Those pics in the “Picture”…
