'Ritas with Rita

Hey y'all. Rita here. If I had time to write a weekly blog, I'd call it 'Ritas with Rita. I'd drink margaritas all day and then pick up the pen to see what happens. Wait...what? No, not the ganja pen, the writing pen. Jeez! Well...actually, that could be entertaining as well. 🤣

I started hitting the sauce early today and haven't stopped so here goes.

First things first - I want you all to know that I'm fine. We saw this sign a lot in Angel Fire.

I'm part Chihuahua (that's Mexican), and my fur is mostly brown so I got very scared every time we crossed a bridge. But I hid under my blanket and they never found me. 😅😎

Dad said this is not a political blog but I couldn't pass up the joke.🙄 If I ever get back to New Mexico, I wonder if it will be named New America. 🤣😛 I'm killin' myself. 🤣

Stella thinks I'm just being dramatic and that I should grow up. But I reminded her that she's a "French" Bulldog and, apparently, we're also pissed at them right now so she better be careful. 🤦‍♂️ Now she's hiding under HER blanket.

"Thank you! I'm here all week. Don't forget to tip your servers."

Mom and dad keep telling me that I've definitely gotten my sea legs because I can eat and drink from my water bowl no matter what we're navigating in the motorhome. Wind, rain, mountain roads, whatever. Doesn't matter to me. When I need a drink, I'm drinking.

Speaking of eating, mom started buying some different dog food and it is soooo good! I over heard dad talking about it a few nights ago. Apparently, it's pretty expensive. Gets delivered in a box with something called dry ice. That's pretty cool because it smokes when dad puts it in the sun. Anyways, dad said to keep buying it no matter how much it costs because it makes Stella and I poop regularly. Yeah, that's right, I said poop. Poop, poop, poop. Take that! Dad said the new dog food makes our poop easier to pick up. WTF? Maybe TMI. 🤣

Now, can we be serious for one minute. That lump on my leg continues to get bigger. Started hurting a bit when we were in Amarillo so we went to the vet AGAIN. He was really nice and knowledgeable. He checked it out and even stuck a needle in it. It didn't hurt to much. He, like all the other vets, confirmed that there isn't much we can do about it without significant risk. It looks gnarly but if we try to remove it again, there won't be enough skin to close up the surgery, and it will still come back again. Supposedly, I could even "bleed out" and that doesn't sound good. So for now, I'm good. Still goin' strong. Mom and dad might try radiating (whatever that means) it when we get home. We'll see.

So...like...um...ok...hold on. Whamma Slamma! Just knocked back another 'rita with a Patron floater. Sun went down so it's probably time for me to get glossy eyed and go into nowhere land. Sleep well tonight! Thanks for hanging with me.

Quote of the week: "Be the person your dog thinks you are."

Peace out!
