Cedar Key is located on the northern gulf coast of Florida. I guess you can say it's a small town since it has of population of around 650 residents. 😛 It's so small that it actually has a legitimate community garden. It's probably best known as a fishing town for clams and oysters. The town got hit pretty hard by Hurricane Helene last year and there are still plenty of places that are closed or under major repair. Not exactly a place you'd go out of your way to visit. But we needed a place to stop on our way to Fort Myers and it had a intriguing RV "place". I can't call it a park or resort, so let's go with "place".

Lowkey Hideaway & Tiki Bar is definitely unique and the name describes it perfectly. It's a local tiki bar with a communal outdoor area, dock, and nine RV sites. Sites are level, on the water, and have full hook ups. Pretty damn cool! Live music on weekends. Beautiful sunsets. No food on site except for a bag of chips in the bar or an ice cream. Just a cool, coastal vibe and we enjoyed the down time. This place will definitely go under the hidden gems category. Check out all the pictures and you'll get the idea.

We went into town for lunch a couple of days and, of course, we had some clams. Spent some more time planning the rest of our adventure and now we are headed to Fort Myers.
Until next time.....
